About the Convening:
This meeting will convene GUF, national union centre, and trade union representatives that actively participate in CWC the via its Networked Secretariat and/or the CWC’s five workstreams.
The key objective of this in-person meeting is to support the development of a CWC strategic plan that will advance its mission to mobilise workers’ capital for collective action and elevate the integration of worker rights in investor activities.
Together, participants will:
- Build a shared understanding of the current workers’ capital landscape, including key developments and good practices across different jurisdictions;
- Identify the key challenges and opportunities across the CWC’s workstreams and identify priority areas for collective action;
- Explore opportunities to grow the size and impact of the CWC (including strategies to engage more unions and allies), deepen the impact of the CWC across its workstreams, and ensure alignment with trade union priorities.
Cost: The meeting is free to attend. Participants are responsible for covering their own travel and accommodation.
